Mary Pressley, 62 years old of Richwood, TX, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.
She was born to Anacleta and Joe Garza on November 7, 1957 in Wharton TX. Mary Graduated from Sweeny High School in 1978. She married Richard Julian Pressley on January 14, 1980.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Pressley; her son, Randy Garza; and 2 daughters, Nina Pressley and Julia Peden. She also leaves behind 2 brothers, Joe Garza Jr. and Mark Sanchez; 4 grandchildren, Andres Garza, Randy Garza Jr, Briana Garza, and Angelica Garza; 3 great-grandchildren, Noah, Selena, and Lily Garza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Anacleta Garza in 2019 and her father, Joe Garza Sr in 2005.
Mary loved to sing and often attended the Brazoria County Gospel Singings. Her love for Jesus was seen and felt by many. Her love for other people was very evident. She could be found cooking a meal for someone in need or helping others any way she could and never asked for anything in return. Mary touched the lives of so many people. Her mission in life was to lead the lost to Christ and she found joy in doing so.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 am until service time.
